|
PLANO , Texas — March 29, 2007 —Datamatic Ltd., a leading supplier of flexible data collection solutions recently announced an expansion of manufacturing operations to meet growing domestic and international demand. Datamatic CEO Ken Kercher said, “We’re seeing increases in both current and forecasted demand, as well as the size of the projects we’re undertaking. New international alliances in Europe, Asia and the Pacific Rim are also beginning to produce results. This expansion was critical to support our continued growth.”
Kercher continued, “Eighteen months ago, we began an initiative to increase and diversify our manufacturing operations, shorten lead times and make us more able to quickly respond to changes in the marketplace. This new capacity has done just that.”
The new 200,000 square-foot facility is accredited with ISO-9001, ISO-14001 and TS-16949 certifications, among others.
“Our ability to multi-source components and manufacture has given Datamatic and our customers another layer of insurance against supply chain disruptions,” said Director of Manufacturing Quentin Owen. “This expansion and diversification is allowing us to take advantage of regional precision manufacturing, better manage risk and be more competitive in a global economy.”
