It's all about the data. Being able to show customers detailed usage profiles reinforces a utility's credibility, something especially important when working through billing disputes. For example, the additional gas used during a brief cold snap can easily be forgotten. When ProfilePLUS data is put alongside average temperature readings over the same time period, "High Bill" mysteries, along with the attendant complaints, often disappear.



meter Right-Sizing

ProfilePLUS data can be used to identify undersized meters and reclaim the revenue lost due to the unbilled usage they allow. The second graph at right shows usage with near-perfect consistency, an unusual condition which often indicates a meter being pushed beyond what it can accurately register. It measures up to its maximum flow rate and no more. This customer’s new pool heater had increased their consumption far beyond the capacity of the installed AC175™ meter. The AC175 was replaced with a much larger AC415™ and registered usage increased more than 30%!

The importance of excellent Customer Service cannot be overemphasized. Competition in all sectors of the economy continues to push customer expectations ever-higher. Innovative applications of technology are an indispensable part of helping utilities meet and exceed these new standards. ProfilePLUS can be just the tool for giving this new level of service. Charge a nominal fee or include as a new "value-add". However it is implemented, customers will get a greater sense of value for their money.
